CleveMed, a leading manufacturer of cloud-based Home Sleep Testing solutions announced today that it released its newest upgrade to its combined Web Portal and SleepView® Monitor integrated system. Some of the many features incorporated in this release include the ability to measure two respiratory effort signals for central apnea confirmation, simplified next-morning-validation of sleep study data, localization, and support of foreign language reports for international customers. Moreover, the new release adds significant flexibility to CleveMed’s own SleepViewSM Direct program which offers logistical support to healthcare providers such as shipping and receiving monitors to and from patients’ homes.

“We are very excited about the new release. We continuously strive to improve our customers’ experience from the push button on the SleepView monitor, to web forms clarity and speed of operation, to completeness of the delivered report”, said Ilya Gotfryd, CleveMed Director of Information Systems.

“Our double digit growth in study volume every month over the past 2 years shows that our strategy is working very well. CleveMed’s unique talent in all aspects of product development allows us to quickly respond to opportunities, especially in a fast growing and dynamic market like HST”, said Sarah Weimer, CleveMed Director of Sleep Services and Products.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), the most prevalent form of sleep apnea, is a repeated interruption of normal breathing during sleep due to a collapse of the upper airway. It is estimated to impact as many people as asthma and diabetes; yet, up to 80 percent of the population with the disease remain undiagnosed and untreated. Moreover, OSA leads to serious health and economic consequences. Numerous studies link OSA to major chronic diseases such as stroke, heart failure, diabetes, obesity, hypertension and increased odds of serious car crash injuries.
